What can A&A do for me?

We provide our clients with state-level criminal checks, county criminal records, county civil records, past address history traces, past employment, driver's histories, credit reports, bankruptcy, education verifications, personal reference checks, real-time court records, federal criminal, federal civil, federal professional license, national wants and warrants, sex offender searches, and business credit reports,.

Can anyone use A&A's services?

No. We limit our customers to those with a legitimate need and who are bound to honor the privacy of those we investigate. That's why we want to know who our customers are and what they are doing with the information we provide. By providing us with facts about you on our signup form, we can offer Churches, Daycares, Property Management Companies, Employers and even individuals our professional screening services.

How do you charge for your services?

A&A charges per transaction -- we charge you for the searches you order. You can order a bundle of services or you can pay for them individually, whichever works best for you.

What about local fees? Sometimes we are asked to pay a fee when we access information in certain areas. There is no way to anticipate the amount of such fees before an investigation, so it is not possible to build them into our pricing structure. However, the cost is invariably small--almost always less than $10 per investigation--and we always alert our clients to the fees before adding them to your bill.

What is a normal turnaround time for a report? Instant searches take from less than a minute to one hour. Overnight searches are usually completed within 24 hours. Reports that include verifications take anywhere from 24 to 72 hours. A county criminal report may take from 24 to 72 hours, and average 36 hours.

Can I get a discount for volume purchases? Yes. Click here for contact information to discuss your anticipated volume with our staff.

Is there any setup cost associate with A&A?

No, joining is free. The only fee you pay is for the service you buy.

How do I make payment?

We offer three ways to pay: we can accept your credit card over the telephone (we will have this available online in the very near future); we can set up a regular credit account with you (allow 48 hours); or we can set up a credit account backed by your credit card. The two billing methods based on your credit card allow you to use your account almost instantly.

How do I get started with A&A?

  1. Go to our signup form.
  2. Create an account by providing us with the information about you or your organization
  3. Provide and submit credit card information to use your account immediately
  4. If you require us to set up a credit account for us to bill, you must wait--usually before 48 hours--for your account information to clear.
  5. Whether you establish a credit account or bill to your credit card, you will be sent an email confirming that your account is active.

What do you need from me?

Our services are governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), which requires that we only release information for the purpose it was intended. We are obliged to ask you for information that will support our decision to accept you as a client.

We ask that you provide us with contact and company information if you represent a company. This information will include a Federal Tax ID number, Business License information and a bank reference. For individuals, we may also ask you to provide similar information, including a bank reference). If you are applying for a credit account not backed by a credit card, we will need your credit reference information.

How long does it take me to get my account?

We act as fast as we can, but you will be able to use your account sooner if you allow us to bill your credit card rather than establish a credit account with you.

Do you use in-court researchers or online research only?

This varies according to the type of search. A county criminal search requires accurate and timely information that can only be gained by a visit to the courthouse where the information is housed. We use electronic searches for instant and statewide criminal records from either state agencies or, sometimes, commercial data gatherers. Statewide searches are updated anywhere from monthly to annually.

In what states do you operate? We operate nationwide, and in some cases provide information from Canada and Puerto Rico.
